Kyshadow The Bronze Palette & Liquid Lipsticks | First Impressions & Swatches

Kyshadow The Bronze Palette ($42)

This eyeshadow palette features 9 neutral-warm shades and according to the website is talc and paraben free, has medium buildable coverage, and a velvety smooth texture. I got a chance to try out my friend’s Kyshadow palette and so this is more of a first impressions review.

The Palette: What I first noticed is how small the palette actually is, it looks a lot bigger in pictures, but it could easily fit into a small purse. However, the pans of eyeshadow are a very good size. The palette is also that hard cardboard material and doesn’t include a mirror. I do really like the unique design on the cover however.

The Shadows: There are 9 very neutral/warm shades ranging from  a light cream color to black. Even though there’s only 9 shades there’s a wide variety of looks you can do with this one palette. The colors chosen are perfect to go from a natural look to a dark, intense look. The swatches below are without primer as well as an eye look I did and the shadows still were buildable and blended very well together on the lid.

Kylie Matte Liquid Lipsticks ($17, lipstick alone/$29, for lip kit)

These liquid lipsticks come in a pretty weighted bottle and I like the range of colors in the line. I like the formula of these as well, they’re matte, but not as drying as most of the Colourpop Ultra Mattes. They do however have this very strong cake-like, sweet scent that I really don’t like.(same as above: Candy K, Dolce K, Maliboo, Exposed, Koko K)

Overall, I do like the palette and liquid lipsticks. The palette is a nice neutrals palette with great colors and quality, but I think is definitely dupeable and I don’t like the price tag for only 9 shadows. The liquid lipsticks are definitely more comfortable to wear than some other ones out there, I like the wide range of neutrals and browns in the line-just not a fan of the scent.
