It’s that time of the month again, and I believe this month makes it 3 years since I first subscribed! Still doesn’t get old! The bag this month was designed by Ipsy founder Michelle Phan. There were two options of bags subscribers could recieve. The designs look mermaid-like, with pastel colors and a very water color feel. I love the crown made out of makeup products and that the bag isn’t as small as some others have been.
🍬NYX Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator ‘Gleam’ ($7.50, for full size)
These are described as a natural, lit-from-within glow in four light-catching shades: Gleam, Pure Gold, Sun Goddess, Sun Beam. Liquid illuminators are quite versatile and can be used on the cheekbones, décolletage, and mixed in with foundation or moisturizer. Gleam is a light gold color and I found that tapping this product into the skin looks best.
🍬Dr. G Brightening Peeling Gel ($28, for full size)
This is described as a ‘gommage’ exfoliator that gently removes dead surface skin cells to brighten skin and minimize pores. It’s very gentle on the skin and made my skin very soft after, however it’s going to take a couple more used to see if there are any improvements.
🍬Lord & Berry Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick ‘Intimacy’ ($20, for full size)
This is a jumbo lip pencil in a muted rosy pink color. I like these jumbo lip pencils because you can easily line your lips and then quickly apply the color all over. Most of these type of lipsticks are very drying however this one, while being matte wasn’t drying or uncomfortable at all. I’ve received a couple of things from Lord & Berry before and I’ve liked all of them so far.
🍬Jelly Pong Pong Neapolitan Palette ($17.95)
This is a limited edition trio with “velvety-smooth eyeshadows formulated with Gardenia flower extract and micronized powder for an 8-hour lasting power”. The shadows are very smooth and pigmented and can be used wet or dry. I love the packaging and this is just the perfect size to carry around in an everyday makeup bag. (Swatched below without primer.)
🍬Global Beauty Care Dead Sea Wash-Off Mask ($9.99)
This mask filled with a unique blend of salts and minerals from the Dead Sea is a treatment that draws out impurities in the skin. Dead Seamud masks are quite popular, although I’ve never tried one before. The mask applied looks just as it does in the illustration below. As it dries it doesn’t get hard or uncomfortable at all and was slightly difficult to completely remove because it’s a really dark mask. We also get a decent amount of product good for 3+ uses.
