Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipsticks |Review & Swatches

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipsticks in ’10. Nude Flush’ & ’35 Rebel Red’ ($7.99)

  • True liquid lipstick (not over drying)
  • Creamy texture
  • 10 shades
  • Purfume-like scent

*I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. However, these are my own true opinions! 💋

Maybelline says: A collection of vivid colors that prove subtle just doesn’t cut it. This creamy formula is incredibly comfortable and glided easily onto lips for a smooth feel upon application and a velvety finish once dry. The result is full color coverage and an intense, rich lip look in a range of colors from nudes and reds to deep plums.

Product: This liquid lipstick comes in a small plastic tube with a pretty long and skinny wand. But it does pick up and good amount of product and the size is just right to get into the cupid’s bow without going outside of the lip line.

Application: This applies very smooth, creamy, and pigmented. 1-2 layers gives an even and opaque application-although I had more trouble with Rebel Red, it went on a bit patchy at first. This lipstick won’t dry down fully like other liquid lipsticks, however with a thin layer at least,  it’s not like a gloss either-it’s formula is like a regular creamy/satin lipstick with a matte finish. There is a purfume-y smell to these, however it’s not too strong once on the lips. After applying, kissing your lips to a napkin will help it “dry” faster and last longer.

Nude Flush, is a muted, dusty pink color.

Rebel Red, is a bright true red color.

Overall I really like these new liquid lipsticks, I can see myself using Nude Flush a lot over this summer and these are a nice break from all the over-drying liquid lipsticks!
