Crystal Essence Natural Deoderant Roll-On ‘Chamomile & Green Tea’ | Review

Details

  • All natural deodorant (no aluminum chlorohydrates, parabans, phalates, zinc)
  • Affordable
  • Clear formula-no residue
  • Anti b/o
  • Long-lasting

Product: This is an all natural roll-on crystal deodorant that contains natural mineral salts. It was very affordable and just a great alternative if you want to use a safer deodorant that can actually protect you all day. There are several scents in this line but this chamomile & green tea is a very soft floral scent. I’ve included some snapshots from their website where there’s a lot more useful information about the benefits of using a natural deodorant!

Application: When you first apply this, it is of course quite wet and takes a couple of minutes to dry especially if you apply a lot. It goes on completely clear and dries that way as well which is a definite plus. No white residue! After awhile the initial floral scent wears off, but you are still protected from body odor. I’ve also worn this all week to the gym, hours after application and I was still protected- it just smelled like nothing at all which I don’t mind. As far as perspiring (since this doesn’t contain antiperspirants), I don’t think I sweated more, however I never smelled bad, so this wasn’t an issue for me.

Ipsy May ‘Destination Beauty’🌎|Subscription Box Review

This month’s bag is themed Destination Beauty and features famous sightseeing spots around the world. Like last month there was 3 different colors you could receive.

▫️Smashbox X-Rated Mascara ($22, for full size)

This is why I still love receiving Ipsy bags…endless deluxe-sized mascaras! I believe this is a newer mascara and the brush is quite unique in that it has “..three deep channels for megacoating lashes and three rows of bristles that isolate, amplify, and extend each lash”. After curling my lashes, this mascara really volumized and lengthened my lashes, while not getting clumpy. It lasted about 8-10 hrs. before beginning to flake a bit. This is actually starting to become one of my favorite mascaras!

▫️Vasanti Brighten Up! Enzymatic Face Rejuvinator ($33, for full size)

This is a microdermabrasion-like face exfoliator that has a long list of benefits as well as claiming instant results. This does feel like other microdermabrasion scrubs I’ve tried, very small beads that gently exfoliate the skin. This however didn’t give instant results, but over time I’m sure this product will show results. It is very gentle and almost scent-free.

▫️Vera Mona Eye Smudger Brush ($9.99?)

This Vera Mona brush is very  beautiful black and purple brush with thin bristles perfect for smudging eye liner or applying eyeshadow to the lower lash line. It is also vegan and cruelty-free. On the website it looks like they only sell this in a dual-ended combination so I’m not sure if this is an Ipsy exclusive.

▫️Bellapierre Cosmetics Gel Lipliner ‘Nude’

This is a gel lip liner in Nude, described as a rosy nude. It’s the perfect shade to go with many lipstick shades from nudes to rosy pink and reds, and has a very creamy formula. The swatch was even a little difficult to remove!

▫️Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eyeshadow Trio ‘Skinny Dip•Crush•Lovely’

I was not at all excited to see Pacifica eyeshadows in my bag. I received another Pacifica eyeshadow trio before and it had no pigmentation to it at all. I haven’t swatched this one yet-so I don’t know how this trio will perform. Although the packaging is beautiful and the colors are nice I’m going to pass this along to a friend!

Clinique Chubby In The Nude Foundation Stick

Clinique Chubby In The Nude Foundation Stick ‘Normous Neutral’ ($24, for full size)

Clinique says: Portable perfection for full-face coverage, or bare-minimum touch-ups. Creamy, moisturizing foundation stick blends easily. Builds from sheer to moderate coverage with a natural finish. Long-wearing. Oil-free.

Product: This is a deluxe-sized sample of the Clinique foundation stick. This foundation stick is “chubbier” than most others but makes it easier to quickly apply all over the face. It is retractable and an easy on-the-go product that you can carry along with you. There are 10 shades in this line.

Application: This foundation stick is creamy, blends easily, is long lasting, and despite what the website says, is more of a medium coverage on me. I used the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to buff this in and it covered any redness or blemishes I had. I can also get oily in my t-zone area and get dry around the rest of my face-this foundation didn’t become oily in the t-zone, nor did it accentuate any dry areas! I was surprised at how great this foundation was at creating a really flawless finish!
