It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Anti-Aging Concealer | Review & Swatches

Product: This is a full coverage, waterproof concealer and contains anti-aging benefits and hydrolyzed collagen as well as Vitamins C and A. This comes in a squeeze tube that releases a tiny amount at a time, which is all you will need. There are only four shades in this line (Light, Neutral Medium, Tan, Deep)

-$24, for full size 0.28 fl oz/8 g.

-full coverage & waterproof

-anti-aging benefits

-moisturize before using

It Cosmetics says: Bye Bye Under Eye® uses Anti-Aging technology to help treat the appearance of lines, wrinkles and discoloration, conceal dark circles, age spots and redness, conceal facial imperfections without settling into lines and wrinkles; and helps to diffuse the appearance of wrinkles instantly.

Application: It Cosmetics suggests that you use a dot sized amount and warm up the product with your fingers before gently tapping onto the skin. This method definitely makes the product glide on easier. The formula is thick and high coverage while not feeling it at all. It blends in very easily and you can instantly see coverage. It creased on me very lightly, especially if I don’t use a corrector under. Although I was adding a lot, it  ceased creasing after blending it more. I would however highly recommend making sure wherever you apply this concealer is very moisturized as it will emphasize dry areas pretty bad.

Here concealer is used over a pink color corrector under eyes and green corrector over red spot. Used alone in post here. This product instantly reminded me of Benefits Erase Paste in Medium. This too is a salmon-y, semi thick undereye concealer. The only problem I have with it however is that it creases a lot. It also creases throughout the next couple of hourse of wear while you constantly keep blending it again.

✖️I’m so far really liking this concealer, it’s one of the easiest to blend and cover problem areas I’ve tried so far. Have you tried this concealer, and what are your thoughts?

Ipsy February ‘Pretty in #IpsyPink’|Subscription Box Review

How was everyone’s Valentines? This month’s Ipsy bag is a black and pink textured bag with a cute love letter on the front. Since there’s always so much pink when it comes to Ipsy, I like that the front is black and that it’s one of the bags with a straight zipper on top so more things fit inside!

🌸It Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye Anti-Aging Concealer ($24, for full size)

I was so excited to try this much loved concealer! It is full coverage, waterproof, anti-aging, buildable, and a little bit goes a long way. When I tried it on my dark circles I was blown away with how pigmented, yet weightless it felt. I recieved the color Tan which has some salmon undertones, it works well but I probably would’ve chosen neutral medium to brighten a little more. I want to do a full review on this product so stay tuned.

🌸Ciate London x Olivia Palermo LE Collection in ‘Sunday’s-my off duty nude’ ($24, for full size)

This is a limited edition fall collection nail polish and is “packed with mesh lock technology, prolonging wear while strengthening the nails..” it’s also free from formaldehyde. Now I usually don’t like receiving nail polish, but the good thing is the nail polishes they do give are mostly always on the expensive side and full sized. This shade is a light, ballerina pink and took 3 coats to become opaque. It is a thicker formula and dried pretty quickly. Edit: I applied this nail polish 4 days ago and while the formula and finish is beautiful, several nails have already chipped. You are better off using the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel see post here.

🌸Skinfix Ultra Rich Body Butter ($17.99, for full size)

This is the next product I wasn’t too excited about. This lotion is for dry skin and is made with natural ingredients and antioxidants that is supposed to sooth and nourish the skin all day. It is a thicker formula yet melts into the skin quite easily. It’s also completely unscented and so if you don’t like perfumed lotions this is perfect.

🌸Vintage Sparkling Lipgloss in ‘Pink Sequin’ ($21, for full size)

Another disappointing product I received, I don’t use lipgloss at all (and have it under my ipsy profile checked off to not receive along with hair products and nail polish) and so didn’t open it to swatch. I will likely pass this along or try to trade. It looks like a very light pink color and loaded with glitter.

🌸Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Blush in ‘Desert Rose’ ($45 for full size)

I must admit, after my initial swatches (below) I was upset with this blush. In the heavy swatch it’s a light pink and applied with a brush it was hardly noticeable and glittery. However when applied to my cheeks it was very pigmented and the glitter hardly showed up! It also has a beautiful highlighting effect that hits right at the top of the cheek bones. This is definitely a product that I would use alone as one quick sweeping color on the cheeks. It’s buildable and we actually recieved a huge amount.

I think as far as being excited for only 2/5 products received, this was the worst bag I’ve recieved. I usually love 4/5 if not all items. However, I love recieving Ipsy bags each month, trying a bunch of different brands and products, and of course reviewing them for you! ❤️❤️❤️

Terracotta & Gold | Milani Everyday Eyes Palette Earthy Elements

I purchased this new Milani palette a couple of months ago in ‘Earthy Elements’ which has a mix of terracottas, golds, and  bronze shades. I’ve been using this a lot lately for all occasions and they are just beautiful colors that are pigmented, smooth and blendable.  This is my overall go-to look when using this palette.

 ✖️Eye Tutorial

(There are no names for these colors just what area they should go on)

1. Upper crease:‘Contour’ shade, a warm/tan peach

2. Crease:‘Lid’, a terracotta

3. Lid:‘Crease’,  a bronzy/gold

4. Inner Corner:‘Specialty’, a peachy/pink applied wet

5. Lower Lash:mix of ‘Contour’ and a matte brown shade applied wet

There are six more palettes in this line and I highly recommend you try these out. They’re pigmented, beautiful colors in a unique gold packaging. I have a full review on this palette and swatches as well as what the other palettes look like. I hope you enjoyed this look!

Skincare Routine & Collection

I shared my skincare routine awhile ago and while not too much has changed, I’ve since tried a lot of products and have been trying to make the ones I use natural and good for my skin.

✖️Step 1: Cleanser

As a cleanser I use African Black Soap ($12, local farmer’s market): African Black Soap is 100% pure, made from palm oil, palm kernel oil, and water. It has a very natural, almost vanilla scent and boasts many benefits including relieving blemishes, preventing rashes, cleans pores, rejuvenates skin, and clears up eczema, rashes, etc. I think this is as natural as a face wash can get, is inexpensive, and will last you a long time. I purchased mine at a farmers market, but you may also find it at a health store.

✖️Step 2: Toner

For toner I use Dickinison’s Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner ($4.47). Using a toner in your skincare regimen is necessary. It removes excess dirt/makeup that the cleanser left behind, is pH balancing, refines and minimizes pores, refreshes and detoxifies the skin. Dickinison’s is all natural and uses the benefits of witch hazel to soothe irritation, refine pores, remove oil, and lock in moisture. Now, this has that slightly weird witch hazel smell-but it’s worth it over the burning/chemical feel and smell I’ve  gotten from other toners in the past.

Rose Water is a very beneficial product to use in your routine, it has anti-inflammatory properties (soothes red, irritated skin), refines pores, refreshes skin,-the list goes on of the uses and benefits of rose water. I like to used rose water in the daytime or before applying makeup. I also like to use this toner before applying makeup on other people as it is refreshing and calming.

 ✖️Step 3: Face Lotion

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream ($6.50) is the one I’ve been using a lot as my night cream. It’s heavier, hydrating, doesn’t clog up pores, and my skin feels very soft and refreshed the next morning.

For the daytime I use the Pur-Lisse Pur Moist Hydrating Moisturizer ($55, full size), it is thinner and does a great job at lightly hydrating the skin and getting it ready for makeup application.

Hey Honey Eye Contour Lifting Fluid ($28, full size) I apply this at night and it’s supposed to hydrate, lift, and firm the under eyes. It is almost a gel-like consistency that dries pretty fast. I have some lines under my eyes, but this probably needs to be used longer to see any real results.

 ✖️Face Scrub (2-3x’s a week)

The Peter Lamas Exfoliating Pumpkin Facial Scrub ($28, full size) is a gentle, gel-like consistency with “pumpkin enzymes combine with Apple and Almond Acids to dissolve cellular debris within the pores while Apricot Grains and Micro-spheres gently polish away dead skin cells”.

 ✖️Face Mask (1-2x’s a week)

One that I will never stop using is Queen Helene Mud Pack Mask ($3.99) I’ve been using Queen Helene masks for a long time now, there’s a Mint one perfect for acne prone skin, and a couple of others. This one is for all skin types, especially mature skin as its  supposed to tighten loose skin and fine lines-I notice that it brightens  and soothes my face after every use. You also receive a lot of product at an affordable price.

One that I like to use before special occasions is the Palmetto Derma Rejuvinating Antioxidant Mask ($65) After using this once I noticed my skin was brighter, radiant, and just made my makeup application look amazing. Since this is a pricey product (I received it in Boxycharm) I decided to save it for when I want my skin/makeup to look extra nice. This mask contains antioxidants that defend against free radicals and reverse the signs of aging.

In My Collection

Here is the rest of my skincare products, if you have any beauty subscription service you will definitely get a little collection going. They’re also great for travel. I’ve tried everything here at least once and they all are good quality.
