Hard Candy Mini Haul + New Products| Review & Swatches

I’ve been wanting to purchase a liquid illuminator to mix with foundations and found this one from Hard Candy. I love their wide range of products and cute packaging and they have come out some amazing products like the Glamoflauge concealer, primers, and their eye palettes in the tins. They have also come out with some new products (pictures from display below).

▫️Sheer Glow All The Way ‘In The Buff’ ($8, 2.7 fl oz.)

This is one of the the 2 new liquid illuminators in the Glow collection. These are sheer and have a thin, cream consistency. There is slight shimmer in it that does not come through on the skin but comes out as a pretty glow. It also blends very seamlessly into the skin.

Application: I used this in 2 ways, patted in the highlight area and then applying my foundation around it. This gives a subtle highlighting effect. Topped with powder highlight gives it an even stronger highlighted look. Or, you can mix this in with your foundation-I really loved how my foundation looked this way. There was a beautiful glow to my face that lasted all day.

Hard Candy website:

Glow All the Way with this pearly, luminizing highlighters that illuminate any skin tone. Infused with 24-karat gold for a million dollar look! Also available in two shades of tinted sunless tanners to instantly bronze and build a lasting tan.

Here is a super blurry picture of the Sheer Glow in ‘Blushing Babe’. It seemed to me more glittery and definitely for lighter skin tones.

▫️Bold & Gorgeous Felt Tip Liner ($5)

I was really interested in trying this unique liner. The triple ball tip is very interesting and is supposed to hold more liquid than a regular one. It’s soft and the pointed tip makes it easy to draw a line. I actually had a hard time taking off the swatch, there was no smearing once it dries and became waterproof. I also really love the cute packaging.

Hard Candy website:

Features triple black formula that lasts up to 12 hours for smudge-proof, budge-proof all-day wear. The short, thick design allows for smooth application, optimum control and zero skip. The innovative triple ball tip holds 3x the color for a dramatic, bold effect.

Rest of new products:

Not pictured is 2 glitter eye palettes and a makeup remover pen which I really wanted but they didn’t have!

There is also a bunch of new shades of the Glamoflauge concealer which is awesome because they only had 3 before! There are also some new lipstick shades. I guess they came out with a different design of their eye palettes. The center one was the original packaging, but the new ones feel lighter and cheaper and I just don’t like this packaging

Colourpop Mini Haul|Ultra Matte Lipsticks: Beeper & Kapow

Colourpop seems to be always coming out with new colors, collections, and even soon new creme gel colours and eye pencils. Two more waves of the ultra matte lipsticks have come out since the original release of which I bought 5 and you can read my review on them here.

A couple of months ago 8 new shades came out. I’m not too sure if these are limited edition or not!     L-R: Kapow, Guess, Bedazzled, Dr M, Jellies, Mr Blonde, Beeper, Clueless.

 (Pictures from ig: Colourpopcosmetics)

And then just now came out the limited edition Fall shades. Wrist down: Chilly Chili, Instigator, More Better, Bad Habit, First Class.

For now I purchased just two new shades from these collections, but was seriously considering Clueless and Chilly Chili. I’m drawn to the nudes and browns! These are $6, matte, and long lasting.

Beeper is described as a warm mid-tone taupe. It is a bit darker than I thought it would be, but still very beautiful. The formula of this is the same as the orig. release -dries quickly, “powdery” dry texture, but still comfortable to wear.

Here I have it compared to Kat Von D ‘Bow n Arrow’  because from pictures I thought Beeper could be a cheaper dupe. However as you can see Beeper is darker and sort of has more cooler tones to it whereas Bow n Arrow is sort of a warmer nude.

Kapow is described as a muted grey taupe. This color looks so different in every person’s pics so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But it is surprisingly flattering and perfect for fall. I read in someone’s review that these new ones felt like they have a new formula, and Kapow does feel a bit different. This one took longer to dry and felt a little sticky until it dried into a very comfortable non-powdery texture. It barely felt like I had anything on my lips.

  (Different lighting)
🌷I’m quickly getting obsessed with  all these Colourpop lippies! The colors, the price, the staying power…I’m in love. Can’t wait to use these all through Fall.

October Favorites

✖️I thought this would maybe be a fun series I can do telling you all some products I’ve been loving lately + mini reviews.❤️❤️❤️

▫️Revlon Colorstay Makeup ($9.99)

I recently did makeup for a couple of wedding guests and needed a lighter foundation to mix with the darker one I already had. This is great for all day wear, and a matte, full coverage finish. It holds contour, blush, and highlight really well also. This is one of the best drugstore foundations that is definitely worth trying.

▫️First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

I received this in a recent Ipsy bag and since then have been using it every night. It is quite a thick formula and so perfect to use as a night cream. It has worked very well for me and is not heavy or greasy feeling at all.

▫️E.L.F HD Lifting Concealer ($3)

I’ve been using this concealer underneath my eyes every single day! It is thick, creamy, and doesn’t crease on me especially if I set. It is so quick for me to just use this wand applicator to apply and blend. Now the shades are a little off, there is Fair, Light, and Medium. I am a medium/beige skin tone and Light is actually best for me. I have Medium and it is way to dark for even covering blemishes. So just know that the colors run dark. There is also now color corrector shades (green, purple, and yellow) that I really wanna try.

▫️Jordana Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara (?)

Ever since I wore this and my boyfriend thought I was wearing false lashes, I have been using it a lot more! I’ve had it for awhile now and have been neglecting it since I have so many mascaras open. The brush is very thin with short bristles allowing you to get close into the inner corners. Your lashes will get a little hard to the touch the more you apply, but the fluttery, long, “falsies” look you have after is so worth it!

▫️Chella Tauntalizing Taupe Brow pencil ($18)

Another Ipsy find! I have been loving this taupe brow pencil we were given. It is a retractable, thin, and hard pencil that just makes filling in my eyebrows very neat and precise. The color will also suit many people.

▫️Essence Long Lasting eye pencil ($2.49, Ulta)

These pencils would probably make it into every favorites post-I use them that much. Not only are they affordable, but they don’t smudge, are creamy, and retractable and the eyeliner stays put all day.

▫️Zulu waterbottle ($10, Target)

So as much as I say I’m gonna make sure I drink my 8 glasses of water a day it never happened. Until I bought this. For some reason, I take this everywhere and religiously kept using it. It is small, can fit in a schoolbag/purse, and has a lid -with a lock, that pops open when you push the button. There were many combos of colors and even a larger size.

▫️Black pointed toe heels from Love Culture

So I recently received these shoes as a gift and I’ve worn them many times since. They are surprisingly very comfortable and can obviously go with everything. Unfortunately I can’t find them on their website and so not sure if it’s just available in stores.

So these have been the beauty/lifestyle products I have been using a lot lately. They are tried and true recommendations as well! Thanks for reading!
