⭐️A Year of Ipsy ⭐️

So July made it officially 1 yr of me having an ipsy subscription! Time flies! I don’t even remember how I found out about Ipsy but it has definitely been fun and a great way for me to discover and try out different brands. I have discovered so many products that I now love and so it has been well worth it👍
Here’s my year in ipsy:
(All pics except of first two bags are from my instagram, I used have a really bad phone so the orig. pics were terrible!)
July 2013 “Beach Beauty”20140726-113038-41438494.jpg

October “Art of Beauty”

November “Glam It Up”

December “Celebration”

January “19 reasons”

*I actually have a video of this on my makeup instagram:@michellebellemakeup*

March “Destination Beauty”

April “Beauty Rocks”

May “Fresh Picks”

June “Pretty In Paradise”

July “Sensationally Sunkissed”

Ipsy July “Sensationally Sunkissed”

Ipsy is a $10 subscription service which brings 4-5 deluxe size/ full size products in a different makeup bag each month.
This month’s theme is Sensationally Sunkissed and brings a cute, hot pink, sort of faux-leather material bag.20140723-140256-50576465.jpg
Here’s what I got in my bag!:

🌼bareMinerals 5 in 1 BB advanced performance cream eyeshadow All pictures I’ve seen of this made me believe this sample was so much bigger. It comes in a little tube with a doe foot applicator and the color I recieved was Divine wine. This is a gorgeous dark taupe color and a little goes a long way; It also claims to prime, brighten, smooth, and protect with SPF 15.

🌼Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil I was really disappointed in getting this product just because I already tan very easily and so won’t be using it. Nevertheless, I have a friend who wants to trade for her Models Own nail polish so I’ll be giving this to her!

🌼Elizabeth Mott Tints & Sass I have loved all other Elizabeth Mott products I have recieved so I have high hopes for this one! It is a lip and cheek stain that is between a gel and watery consistency and comes with a doe foot applicator. It smells like cherries, but not too strongly and it applies smoothly and distributes color evenly.

🌼Lavilin Jojoba Skin Smoother gel cream This is an aloe cream that you apply on your skin for rashes, burns, etc. it leaves your skin refreshed and smooth; the smell unfortunately is not too pleasing.

🌼Benefit They’re Real Mascara I’ve finally started liking this mascara (for a long time, it didn’t work for me). I’ve started using it more often and I’m loving the results. So I’m really happy to receive another one!

So this was my July Ipsy bag. I really loved the look and size of the bag and about 3/5 products in it (lol). Until next month! ❤️michelle

💎Hidden Beauty Gems: Dollar Tree

My local dollar tree has a semi small beauty/skincare section with not a lot going on most of the time. I still check it every time though to see if there’s anything good, and this time surprisingly I found some E.L.F products!

(I’m not a big lip gloss fan so I ended up getting these eyeshadows):

in “Smoked”:
These are 6 metallic shades that come in a sturdy case with a large mirror. Swatches are without a primer or base.

Dollar Tree seems to be constantly changing their products so you won’t always find the same things there weeks later. Here are some past beauty products I have gotten:
-Physician’s Formula Wet/Dry baked collection (discontinued)

L.A. Colors 6-color eyeshadow “Cafe Au Lait”

E.L.F lipstick “flirtatious”

-Cold Cream: I use this everyday along with the wipes to remove my makeup. It is gentle and moisturizing and does an amazing job of removing eyemakeup without having to tug at your eyes.

💎 Go on and check out your local dollar tree for some hidden gems! Thanks for reading! ❤ Michelle

Collective Haul & Review|#1

These are some recent beauty-related purchases accumulated over a couple of months that I wanted to review for yall! 20140713-105726-39446095.jpg
1.Lorac PoreFection Foundation I love love love this foundation! I have a full review here.It is $36 and can be purchased at Ulta. It is well worth it.

2.Jordana Baked Eyeshadow I found this at Kmart and that’s actually the only place I’ve seen these. There are 11 more shades, they’re quite large and are domed. I actually purchased ‘Espresso Lane’ which is a matte dark brown for the purpose of using it as a brow powder. It has great staying power, color payoff, and since it’s so large will last me a long time!

3.Real Techniques Expert Face Brush I know everyone and their mother owns this brush, but I’ve only had it for about 2 months. And now I see why everyone raves over It. This applies and smoothes over foundation beautifully. I feel like my face overall looks better when using this. The bristles are also extremely soft, yet firm enough for buffing. I’m also crazy about the handle and just overall look of the handle. It’s very sturdy and reasonably priced (around $9 at Ulta).

4.Lorac Cococin Cream Compact I got this from Lorac’s V.I.P sale page on their website. There’s a bunch of things there for more than half off! I got this for $12 orig. $32. It is a medium/full coverage cream compact; it obtains a mirror and sponge. The formula is quite dry and is sort of hard to apply. I’ve found the best way to apply this is with your fingers mixing it in the compact and then applying to your face in circular motions. That is literally the only way this has worked for me. Although application is rough, I like how it gives amazing coverage and yet feels like your wearing nothing at all.

5.Essence Voluminous Lash Powder I picked this up on a whim to see if it actually worked. I love the look of long lashes and am always trying to achieve them. These are little tiny fibers that you are supposed to apply to your lashes after one coat of mascara, then you apply a second coat. It does volumize and thicken, the downside is that it can get clumpy fast. So I tried a different approach. I now sprinkle some fibers directly onto my mascara wand and apply my mascara regularly so it still uses the fibers to elongate my lashes.

6.NYX Felt Tip Liner ‘Dark Brown’ I regret buying this liner. I have an awesome felt tip liner from Jesse’s Girl in black that I love. So I wanted something like it in brown for more softer looks. This liner however just doesn’t cut it. The felt tip is actually really stiff and pinches, also it must be kept pointed down when storing it (it says so on the box) but even though I’ve done that the brown color is really faint and when you go add a second layer, some of the first layer wipes off. That along with the stiffness of the brush just makes this a pain to use.

7.Essence Long-Lasting eye pencil in ‘Hot Chocolate’ This has quickly become my everyday eyeliner; ‘Hot Chocolate’ is a perfect dark brown. It is a retractable liner and although doesn’t claim to be water proof or even smudge proof, it doesn’t move throughout the day.

8.Secret Outlast Completely Clean deodorant Not all deodorants work for me, so I tried this one out and it worked great. This particular one doesn’t even have much of a scent so if you don’t like the smell if deodorant this one would be perfect for you!

So these were my reviews of recently purchased items that I felt like talking about. Stay tuned for more!

Lorac Porefection Foundation Review

Perfect and protect with POREfection Foundation. This oil, paraben and fragrance free formula is infused with anti-aging antioxidantsof Vitamins A & E, Olive leaf extract, Lemon Fruit extract and Papaya Fruit extract to help soothe, nourish and rejuvenate while SPF 20 provides protection from UVA/UVB rays to help keep skin healthy, youthful, and radiant. Get a poreless-looking, silky smooth finish and achieve complexion Porefection® with Lorac.

So I’m browsing the high-end part of Ulta not really planning on buying anything when I decided to try this out. Since it’s called Porefection I applied it along my nose and below eye area where my pores are very visible. I was amazed as it smoothed it out and left it flawless! This is my first high-end foundation purchase and I can see and feel the difference this foundation makes.

☀️It comes in ($36) 1.12 fl oz. bottle with a pump and sturdy cap. It has an SPF of 20 and the line of colors ranges from PR1-PR10. There’s definitely more lighter shade options than darker but I think pretty much everyone could find their color. I got PR7 Medium Tan, which is a perfect match for me (living in FL gives you a permanent tan!)
I’ve been testing this out for about 2 weeks now and I’m forever in love! It applies smoothly and gives very good coverage yet feels lightweight. I don’t even need concealer most of the time because this really covers your problem areas. Not sure how long the wear is but I’ve worn this to work and 9 hrs later it still looked perfect.
☀️Final thoughts: I am in love with this foundation. I get a flawless finish everytime I use it and I highly recommend you all try it out!
